PBSerum enzyme therapy
PBSerum products are combinations of three different recombinant enzymes manufactured in a highly complex genetic-engineering process. There are 3 different products in total, each composed of collagenase, lipase and lyase.
The concentration of each enzyme is product-specific, which also means that each product is intended for a particular indication.
The three PBSerum products
- PBSerum LOW contains equal proportions of all three enzymes. It is generally used for skin tightening and for dissolving fluid retention.
- PBSerum MEDIUM contains double the proportion of lipase and is therefore a lipolytic product. It stimulates metabolism and triglyceride breakdown in the injection area, reducing the volume of the adipocytes (fat cells).
- PBSerum HIGH contains double the proportion of collagenase. It is particularly suitable for treating fibrosis after procedures, scars and cellulite.
Difference from conventional lipolysis products
Unlike conventional lipolysis products, the fat cell is not destroyed. This means that the usual unpleasant side effects do not occur.
Indications
In principle, the ‘fat-away injection’ is suitable for treating smaller areas. For larger fat deposits with a layer thickness of about 5 cm or more, liposuction is preferable to lipolysis.
